Altuglas International of Arkema, Inc. (Philadelphia) is introducing Tuffak® XL polycarbonate sheet that offers light diffusion and weathering characteristics. The company says the product is 300 time stronger than single-strength glass. Produced via a process that creates a built-in UV barrier, the sheet offers extended life, longer-term yellowing resistance, greater diffusion properties to hide light sources, and higher transmission properties to lower power requirements, according to the company.
