Walmart Logo

I have been searching for the Walmart Garden Center logo. Anybody have it or know where I might find it? Tried www.brandsoftheworld.com but no luck yet.

Thank You All!

Anonymous says: Jeff, Please elaborate, what have they done. You have me concerned now. I would have thought they would be good to do business with. But now I don't know. Thanks, Kent posted on: Tue, 10/19/2004 - 11:42am

We did some stuff for them years ago with my former employer. They are really picky and very cheap. Wouldn't do it again if my livelihood depended upon it. You just can't satisfy them. They love to reject work.

Yup, friend of mine's brother does commercial work for them and it is nearly policy for them to reject any and all work initially, which puts it into a 90-day time frame (per their agreements), at the end of which they are likely to pay. When you are talking big buck$, they love to eek out any interest they can and this is one way to do it.

I can totally picture this! I worked for their distribution center about 7yrs. ago when I was trying to save to start in this business. Working for them is truly an interesting experience (to say the least!) and I would DEFINATELY be VERY cautious in doing any work for them. There is a reason why their prices are so cheap... other than buying in bulk, you know somebody is going to get it on the other end! I can picture them being very picky, very cheap, a ton of "red tape", and not really worth the experience. I remember my first (and last) truly national customer. All seemed great, and I was looking to make out quite well on the deal... but they didn't have their act together and I was already locked into the price. I lost alot on the job, and fought with them for 5 months to pay me! (Waiting to get paid for 10 vans is alot for a 1-man shop!). I am happy with dealing with the little guy down the street. They don't "nickle and dime" me, they are always pleased and tell other's about me, and have the time they are willing to pay BEFORE the job is done! ...I'll stay with that I guess! -Dave

Why would Walmart even want you to do work for them? They have thier own large sign shop that produces all of thier signage needs. If you look closely in a Sams Club you will even find that they sell banners and magnetics. They will screw you in a minute. The local store manager may want you to do some work for them, but when the regional managers find out you will be the one that gets screwed not the store mgr. I had a very troubling experience with them once and decided never to do business with them again. Some jobs are better left alone.

Run !!!!! If Wall Mart deals with you the way they dealt with me, ( it was in another business) you are in for a very rough road!! They are un-believable in the demands they place on the suppliers that deal with them. Their motto is "We want it now and we will decide what price we will pay". Unless you have unlimited resources and patience find another road to travel. Wall Mart didn't get as big as they are by letting the rest of the world make a buck from them!

BEWARE!!!!I had a real close friend that worked at the main office. They had a storm come through the distribution center wher some trailers were being stored. The trailers were damaged and panels had to be replaced.well the suppose to be friend of mine had it worked out since i was local it was cheaper letting me do it since i live a few miles away. Then they travel and do it.Well i did 12 trailers for them, we are talking a few thousand dollars.I got them done in a week.First they bitched because they said it took to long then they kept telling me they never recieved my bill.So i called ol' back stabbing bryan up.All he could do was make excuses for them, but he told me if i sent the bill to him he would turn it in himself and make sure they got it.Well to make a long story short it has been six months and still no money and plenty of excuses. Now my lawyer is working on getting my money. So even if you have somebody you know pulling for you trying to help you out they are helping you go broke.I haven't talk to bryan since the last go around and i probably never will. For somebody that promises you your money thats the truth just about as much as them saying they sell american made stuff.Unless you want a good screwin dont screw with them.If you do maybe you can talk them into throwing in a pack of trojans from aisle 7.
