Anonymous says: I have a lynx 24" cutter from sign warehouse. It cuts fine but the tracking really isnt very good on this machine for long cuts. So keep this in mind when buying any cutter. posted on: Sun, 07/31/2005 - 10:39pm
Anonymous says: For the price, I'd go with the T series Summa. We have the T750 and have had nothing but good luck with it. TJ posted on: Mon, 08/01/2005 - 8:45am

I would say it depends on what you plan on doing for production? If you are just starting out, (and are on a tight budget?) I would probably not look into a Graphtec or Summa) for your first cutter? I purchased a cutter similar to this when I first started 7yrs. ago, and it made it through the years just fine. But... I had then purchased a less-than-respectable printer / cutter from the same company (not to name any names) and they completely DID NOT stand behind their product! I ended up losing my A@%! on the deal, and will NEVER deal with that company again. So, I would suggest if you do in fact go with an entry level, or mid-grade plotter, DEFINATELY do some research! I purchased a Graphtec FC5100-75 about a year ago. It is a well-built machine, but I haven't been overly-impressed with its cut quality? I've sent it to Graphtec twice, and they gave it their "Seal of Approval", and EVERYONE I've talked to say they love their's?! I guess it just didn't work out in my favor I guess? I will probably just end up selling it and buy a new Summa 30" tangential?

I have a Panther as well. I LOVE IT! And I agree that it takes time to properly line the vinyl up to get it to cut right. But I have used Roland cutters and Graphtecs. I love the Panther. I might add that whenever you get a friction fed machine, it does take some getting use to in proper vinyl alignment.
