I have a Summa D60 and it has been great. If I were buying another today, I'd look at Summas or the new Graphtec FC7000-series. From what I can tell, the Graphtecs may be the best feature per dollar out there.

I would say it depends on what you plan on doing for production? If you are just starting out, (and are on a tight budget?) I would probably not look into a Graphtec or Summa) for your first cutter? I purchased a cutter similar to this when I first started 7yrs. ago, and it made it through the years just fine. But... I had then purchased a less-than-respectable printer / cutter from the same company (not to name any names) and they completely DID NOT stand behind their product! I ended up losing my A@%! on the deal, and will NEVER deal with that company again. So, I would suggest if you do in fact go with an entry level, or mid-grade plotter, DEFINATELY do some research! I purchased a Graphtec FC5100-75 about a year ago. It is a well-built machine, but I haven't been overly-impressed with its cut quality? I've sent it to Graphtec twice, and they gave it their "Seal of Approval", and EVERYONE I've talked to say they love their's?! I guess it just didn't work out in my favor I guess? I will probably just end up selling it and buy a new Summa 30" tangential?
I have a Panther as well. I LOVE IT! And I agree that it takes time to properly line the vinyl up to get it to cut right. But I have used Roland cutters and Graphtecs. I love the Panther. I might add that whenever you get a friction fed machine, it does take some getting use to in proper vinyl alignment.
Does anyone out there have one of these vinyl cutters
Graphtec CE3000Mk2-60
I was planning on buying a 24 inch cutter either the Graphtec or the New Roland 24 inch
anyone with experience with either thanks...
