I've been given an opportunity to create a "division" of a local graphics / ad shop that wants to branch out. They're OS X Lion only, mostly wireless. I'll be issued a MBP.
I need software and vinyl cutter (about 24 inches) recommendations that work well with OSX and USB or AirPort Wireless networks. Their in-house work is done mostly with Illustrator but they do have Corel Draw as well.
Banner printing is farmed out, but I may be able to bring it in-house at a later date. This would be mostly last minute window treatments, directional signs, replacement work for lost banners and such at trade/market shows as well as full-size mock-ups of ideas drawn with plotter pens.
I've got the PC side of vinyl down, but in the past Apple has been a bit of kluge in the vinyl cutting business and I haven't paid much attention to developments.
I'm looking to make this switch to be as painless as possible.
