Description of Work: This project was a $ 2,500,000.00 project involving the total computerization of a port of entry, inclusive of weigh-in-motion, main scales, five large scale electronic message centers & supporting structures, large scale earth removal and replacement, large scale reinforced concrete placement, and the addition of large quantities of trees, shrubs and plants. I estimated the full $ 2.5k project involving ten separate subcontractors I did the engineering for the electric signage and supports and coordinated the electrical coordination. Also I drove to St. George on Monday and back on Friday for over a year acting as an on site project manager, EEO officer, and oversaw traffic control lane closures over the entire project and over the twelve subcontractors, while doing on site work for YESCO. I managed the installation of $ 165,000.00 of roadside sign installations. I did all of the paperwork for YESCO showing the monthly state payable quantities and showed the amounts to our financial clerk back in Ogden how much to pay each. I also worked closely with the Arizona & Utah State people in meetings and work standards. In 1992 this project ended and I went back to Ogden Division as Design Director & Engineer.

Description of Work: Again I took over the graphic design and engineering department, while acting as a production coordinator. I managed the four person department and worked with our Corporate P.E. in SLC via telephone and visits coordinating large scale electric sign engineering. Again I was involved in monthly financial meetings and planning. I also went on site with our installation crews doing engineering and overseeing their installation procedures to make sure welds were right and installation was correct.

Description of Work: Branch Manager in Idaho Falls, Idaho. I was in charge of the financial budgeting, and sales departments while doing sales, and working closely with our manager of production and installation. The total people under myself was approx. ten. Again I also did my own graphic design, engineering and estimating for each of my project, I also went onsite with our crews when needed to check out installation procedures, welds and engineering on from small scale to large scale electric signage.

Description of Work: Chief Engineer. I was over the engineering department with one other individual doing all of the structural mathematics, drawings and electrical layouts for small to large scale electric signage. Again I also did graphic design along with the wind truss, sheet metal cabinet and pylon enclosures along with individual letter and electrical layouts. On large projects such as the E Center in West Valley, I worked with the shop in the structural steel engineering and main support design and engineering, which I ran the calculations and went over them with our corporate P.E. I went on site daily to check the installation techniques, welds and concrete on many installations to make sure they met my specifications, and were done right. In 1996 I was also appointed design department manager of the eight person department while also being the engineering department manager. This included working with the design people with engineering and graphics, however I went back to engineering manager after having too much workload in the engineering department. I worked closely with the corporate PE, Benjamin Jones, on each structural design.

Description of Work: I took over ownership of Advantage Sign in January. I did the sales, designs, engineering, fabricating of signage and manage any off site subcontracting. In addition to this I am the qualifier for the Utah State Electrical Sign Contractors license for Advantage. This enables us to manufacture, work on or install any electric signage. In June of 2001 we moved to a new Layton location and we brought six employees on. We brought on another salesperson and produce over four hundred eighty thousand dollars yearly volume. I take care of the financial management sell, design and engineer all of the sales that we do. I also, when needed, fabricate & weld small to large electric signs, complex & square, including painting in the shop and install with a 65' Skyhook crane and have a current class B CDL license. On many sales calls I take a power inverter for the car, plug in a printer and prior to meeting with the client take the photo of the building / design the display, print the design, estimate the project and write the contract. In may instances sell the project. This has worked out well on many out of town accounts.

Software Knowledge: Coreldraw 14/ Autocad / Risa / Cadlink / Wordperfect, & wrote engineering sheets for cabinets, pan channel letters, pole signs in Excel.
