Neon and LED junk

I seem to remember towns banning neon because it was seedy or was an "eye sore". Where are these idots now when people are putting up these horrible LED boards that blind me at night and are the size of the side of a warehouse? There's one here in NJ in Paterson right by Marcal Paper (nice huge neon sign BTW) that is the most horrible thing I've ever seen and lights the whole damn highway up even though it's blocks away.

There wasn't many neon sign that were horrible. At worst it was a bad design.

Just my 2 cents!

I think they'll come around eventually. No sense in restricting advertising in a down economy, it just hurts the city.
