Located 30 minutes north of Seattle, Dillon Works! Inc. has specialized in the design and fabrication of custom dimensional and architectural elements for over two decades. Projects include themed elements and areas within shopping malls, retail venues, amusement parks, casinos, exhibits, displays, restaurants, signage and more.
This full time position will be a Senior Graphic Designer responsible for development and successful aesthetic outcome of multiple projects, working alongside a talented and diverse group of designers, fabricators, project managers and internal and external resources supporting these efforts.
This position requires:
1. A working knowledge and multi-year experience with the processes and fabrication methodology common to custom architectural elements, environmental signage, way finding and themed entertainment environments.
2. The ability to develop and translate illustrative concepts into graphic layouts, elevations and sections.
3. Hand sketching ability sufficient to communicate design intent and ideas.
4. A positive, determined attitude, and be well organized and energetic.
5. Superior communication skills, capable of articulating critical project details to a wide range of recipients and working collaboratively within the creative team.
6. A working knowledge of the graphic design, sign making materials, digital printing, and design fabrication processes, as well as the methods and materials common to this industry.
7. A working knowledge and multi-year experience with the processes and fabrication methodology common to custom architectural elements, environmental signage, way finding and themed entertainment environments.
8. Coordination, management and cultivation of vendor relations.
9. Ability to proactively interact and communicate with architects, designers, general contractors and demanding clients.
10. Expertise with the following design programs: Adobe Creative Suite CS3.
11. Working knowledge of the process of refining graphic images for print and cut-files. The ability to create final artwork for large format digital printing.
12. Ability to create presentation booklets from InDesign.
13. Ability to create presentation elevations from Illustrator or AutoCAD and Photoshop.
The ideal candidate would ideally have.
• An extended, successful track record of designing themed environments, children’s interactive and educational activity areas and decorative architectural elements.
• The ability to juggle any number of project assignments at any given time.
• AutoCAD and or Sketch Up experience a plus.
