sign eating transformers

we have been servicing a d/f rootop open face neon channel letter cabinet for the past 2-1/2 years. The customer (a 24hr diner) keeps the sign on 24 hrs a day. Every 4 months we have to replace 1 or both of the 2 transfomers (the neon has yet to fail). When we first opened the sign it had 15yr old standard 12k outdoor magnetic (burnt out) so we replaced them w/ france service masters. These burnt out within 4 months, but they were under warranty so we replaced them. After those burnt out again, we installed france OEIG electronic type that lasted another 4 months. We have since replaced all of the tc200's, gto, cleaned the grounds, traced the ground back to the panel, installed dust caps over the tc's and still we get burn outs. We tried ventex, and still 4-5 months later we are changing them out. I even pulled all the glass (13mm clear red 30ma) cleaned the eclectrodes, measured the glass (which yeilded about a 10.5k load) and the problem still is going on. I finally tried the new Allanson uniserve2 today and crossed my fingers. I have signs I installed 20yrs ago that are still burning off the same old magnetic tranformers we originally installed and this one has me upside down. ANY COMMENTS? Should I go back to standard outdoor and not mess with this self-adjusting crap? Are transformers simply not rated for 24hr use?

3. How many outdoor tranny's?

4. On the last transformer on the circuit, do you have + voltage on the neutral?

1 20amp circuit, dedicated but not 100% sure- the building is 100 years old and the panel is a mess. 2 trans, originally a 12 and 15. Both trans are hooked onto the same wire on the circuit so I don't think there is a first and last. Should there be?

Thanks for the feedback.

I've had a simialr job in the past and it drove me nuts. Long story short it was a night club and I was told it was dedicated.

Take a meter and measure the volts & amps during the day and at night with the sign on. See if there's a difference. I'm willing to bet it's not a dedicated circuit especially if the load is correct.

Did you take a High voltage probe reading of your neon load?

Also, do a reading of the neutral line on the tranny to see if you have positive voltage on that
