We have had a Solara Ion for over a year and we have had so many problems we have lost count. We that have been unlucky enough should band together to try and force Gerber to make it right on these machines. We were at first told that we were one of very few having problems. Wrong ...we know better now. Please let me know of your problems and what we may be able to do to force Gerber to own up to a machine that should never have been released until they had more of the problems worked out. Having previously been a leader in some legal matters I have now become a follower. After suffering through many of the same problems I have been hearing for over 18 months to be finally printing quite well now I was very disappointed to hear that Gerber has now made my machine worthless by announcing its demise.
If anyone is interested in approaching Gerber as a group, I am interested. Just not going to be the one to initiate it. Let me know if you decide to pursue.

We are on the same boat. We have one which is a year old and we have a problem with the motor, bearings, whatever they say it is.. The machine has been less than a month over guarantee and we have been given a quote for 2.500,00 Euros to have it repaired. This is absolute robbery. We are willing to go ahead and put pressure on Gerber or do whatever is possible help create an awareness to stop potential buyers form making the same mistake.
