Did the machine come with ink? If so are the cartridges still installed in the machine? Have you tried a test print using the "test print" button found on the keypad? Of course make sure you load some media into the machine before attempting to do a test print. Depending on what happens when you perform a test print will decide your next step on what you need to do to get your machine up and running. You should contact you local Roland dealer. Go to Roland's web site and do a dealer look-up. You will find that there's many of them in California. Unfortunately these dealers are not obligated to service you machine if it's in really bad condition so I suggest you call around and find a good dealer who's willing to help you out. :)

Well, I'm assuming the heads adn such have been taken care of. Otherwise, look to replace those. I'm sure if it was Repo'd, they drained it, and such, so that they wouldn't clog/dry out.
Otherwise, just expect the regular things to go wrong.
Pump, dampers, et cetera.
