I 've heard it around the same price, It'll be a pain to do alignments on w/ 8 heads. I think there changing the print head to a Toshiba one? I hear rumors of late spring release. I was down at Mimaki in Aug. I asked about something faster, they didn't mention any specifics as far as price or actually how many heads it would have, just possible speed and a new brand of printhead. possibly a few spot flourecent colors, red, green, blue?

That is 350 sf/hr. The printer was printing from 9:30 am to 5:00 without any problem. They printed many rolls of media at the show.

HP 9000s @ 720 x 720=518,400 dots per in^2 ----> 172 sf/hr

Mimaki JV5 @ 540 x 1080=583,200 dots per in^2 ----> 350 sf/hr

HP -- 12 pl drop size
JV5 -- 7 , 14 and 22 pl variable drop size
