Alright! I have a few questions I been trying to figure out. I have been doing research for a while but its hard to tell who subs out installs or who truely has a "FULL SERVICE" shop........
-What I would like to know is how many companies who produces ADA has their own installers.
-Also how often they send them on installs? Hopefully around or over 40 hours per week.
-Are there shops who both produce and install, ADA and or possibility retail signage, or custom graphics USING their own installers? meaning not subing out installs unless its union or overflow of work.
If any one with knowledge of ADA/possible retail signage/and or custom graphics installations please help me out. I feel trapped in the position I'm currently in with a company whos great with what they serve and do but has a few people who either doesn't like changes, those who are intimidated and ones who don't know anything about signage.
This is a long stretch and only a few can answer this correctly without assuming. Which is why I'm posting this.
ABOUT ME:
I am experienced in many sign divisions ranging from grand format shops(ie.16' printers) to screen printing...basic sign making to producing high end graphics...post signs to architectural signage...old style vinyl overlay to wraps...mall barricade wraps to pop displays....sign design, graphic design. CNC routers - banner welding - heat press and sublimation. many exterior signage. Ada fabrication and installation and the list can go on. And there are many things I that haven't done that I would love to do.
I don't want to sound like a know-it-all, I just feel trapped with just installing/producing ADA signs everyday, not able to use my knowledge or my skills.......I enjoy what I do but I feel there has got to be a company who truely is a "FULL SERVICE" shop. That does installs. Does everything "in-house", and fun to work at, creative and openminded.
SO OVER ALL if you know of a company who enjoys trying new things who can and does installs(ada/retail/graphics/large banners) and hopefully produces all "in-house." please let me know....AND THANK YOU for reading this and try not to be rude! Thanks!
We are in the same position as BCN. We install all over California, but had to let a couple of installers go because of lack of work. We do fabricate our own signs -- mostly ADA signs -- and install all of them. We also fabricate general wayfinding signs and some of our own dimensional letters.
It's been a while since I could keep all my installers busy 40 hours a week. Now they fill in with shop work.
We do alot of wayfinding and ADA installs all over the Southeast for many large companies. I feel that you either do ADA or you don't it is a very good feeling to walk a 5 story hospital with 1000's of signs that you installed knowing they are all 100% correct. www.704signs.com

Sorry I don't know of a company that manufactures and installs on a National level. Our Company is a installation company specializing in CA code and guidlines. Perhaps that is why local sign installers are used. Hope this helps you.
