DT Research™ Inc. (San Jose, CA) has deployed the WebDT Signage System at Specialty’s Cafe and Bakery stores. The combination of WebDT signage appliances and its Content Manager software targets customer communications at several café locations.
The system includes the WebDT SA1000 signage appliances for digital menuboard applications, paired with 42-in. displays behind service counters with images of the current menu offerings. The menuboards use the same space for the breakfast and lunch menus, with a scheduled content change at a specified time. The 42-in. displays mounted in the dining areas engage customers with such multimedia content as video, Flash and images. The dining-area content drives sales for catering, specials, and other products and services. It also invites customers to connect on social networking sites.
The café’s marketing team can easily navigate the layout design and scheduling of their menus and consumer communication. Content, updated using any Internet browser, can be managed locally or in a central location.
