Watchfire Unveils 3rd-Generation Billboard

Features higher-efficacy LEDs and front- and rear-access serviceability

Watchfire Digital Outdoor (Indianapolis) in unveiling its third-generation digital billboards, which, the company reports, are more energy efficient. The entire product line includes such new features as: • Serviceability via front- or rear-access cabinets; • 38% reduction in energy requirements. Watchfire’s bulletin-size billboards now require less than 100A of electrical service. • Higher-efficacy LEDs.

Ignite Online™, which already offers operators remote accessibility, now enables billboard operators to control billboards from any location, perform advanced scheduling and day-parting functions, and enables advertisers to schedule and upload their own art. The ability to display RSS feeds for real-time data, such as breaking news, sports scores, stock quotes, weather forecasts and updates, also is included. Also, the company has introduced the E-16mm, a third-generation billboard product designed for medium- to long-range viewing.
