USSC announces discounted crane training

(October 2010) posted on Wed Oct 27, 2010

OSHA is now mandating that crane operators get certified. Here's one way to do it.

The United States Sign Council (USSC) has announced a member service of discounted crane-operator certification training. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) now requires certification of most crane operators. USSC has contracted with Associated Training Services (ATS), which can train and certify your crane operators through the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO). Areas include:

The NCCCO practical exam

The NCCCO written exam

Large and small telescopic boom cranes (swing or fixed cabs)

Lattice and articulated cranes

Rigging and signalperson

Training can occur at an ATS test site, or you can have training at your own facility if you have six or more people to be trained. ATS may be contacted at 800-678-8149. Its address is 7190 Elder Lane, Sun Prairie, WI 53590, www.ats-crane-training.com. USSC may be contacted at (215) 785-1922.
