Trans-Lux Corp. (Norwalk, CT), a designer and manufacturer of digital-signage display solutions for the financial, sports and entertainment, gaming and leasing markets, has formed Trans-Lux Energy, a subsidiary company that will offer LED-lighting technologies that provide facilities and public infrastructure with “green” lighting solutions. The products will be immediately available from the new subsidiary, which will also be headquartered in Norwalk. The initial product offering will include LED replacement bulbs that fit into existing fixtures, smaller and highly efficient LED bulbs for new construction, and innovative LED street lighting solutions.
“The addition of Trans-Lux Energy to the Trans-Lux Corp. family of companies further supports the launch of our new TL Vision business model,” said Eric Mackey, VP of Trans-Lux and general manager of Trans-Lux Energy. Mackey will focus on developing distribution channels and key accounts for Trans-Lux Energy.
“The addition of Trans-Lux Energy to the Trans-Lux Corporation family of companies further supports the launch of our new TL Vision business model,” said J.M. Allain, president and CEO, Trans-Lux Corp. “Trans-Lux Energy adds two important facets to our core competencies; first by allowing us to pursue new business opportunities in the LED lighting category with energy-saving lighting solutions, and second by supplementing our established digital-display and signage businesses with a highly flexible, cost-efficient and creative means for facilities to enhance their environments with LED lighting.”
