Ecologic Designs (Boulder, CO) converts discarded highway billboards and sports equipment into bags and accessories. Having claimed to be the only company that offers a b2b, custom-manufacturing service for producing billboard bags in the U.S., Ecologic Designs has created products for company events, employees and clients. Previous clients have been AT&T, Patagonia, and the Container Store.
The Billboard Series products comprise cross-woven PVC vinyl sheeting, which the company reclaims, processes and sews.
Outdoor companies can become both a supplier and a customer by donating used resources such as billboard vinyl and then buying repurposed products created from their reclaimed waste. Each piece is an “original” that features images of the billboard it’s created from.
