Houston’s Saifee Signs boosts a neighborhood’s economic-development message.

Situated 30 miles south of Houston and 12 miles north of the Gulf of Mexico, Angleton, TX, a town with approximately 19,000 residents, offers small-town charm with big-city amenities. To exhort its residents to keep their dollars in their community, officials from the Greater Angleton Chamber of Commerce hired Houston-based Saifee Signs to produce a vehicle wrap that promotes the local business community’s vitality.
After inspecting the GMC Yukon’s surface for scratches and dents before the job -- and photographing any imperfections to absolve Saifee of any liability – the shop prepped the car with a water and alcohol solution. The shop produced the wrap with 3M’s Controltac 180C with Comply air-release media on the shop’s HP DesignJet 9000s solvent-ink printer. To maintain color and content vibrancy, the shop protects the wrap with 3M’s 8519 luster-finish overlaminate, which it applied with its Royal Sovereign RSC-1650H laminator.
To aid the installation process, installers used 3M’s Primer 94 bonding primer and sealant, and applied the wrap with the requisite complement of heating torch, 3M Gold squeegees and X-Acto blades.
