Signs Now (Sarasota, FL), a division of Allegra Network LLC, has adopted the HP L25500 60-in., large-format DesignJet printer for new franchise locations, effective June 1, 2010. The L25500, which utilizes HP’s latex-ink technology, was chosen for print quality and low VOC emissions found in other equipment. This will help franchise members who’ve adopted the Signs Now Green Initiative, which was launched in 2009.
The L25500 produces indoor-quality prints with outdoor durability. However, unlike traditional solvent-based ink technologies, the L25500 produces few harmful VOCs or hazardous air pollutants, which helps shops preclude external ventilation equipment.
Besides being odor free, all prints come out of the L25500 dry and ready for immediate use. The L25500 also offers many media choices, including popular vinyl and banner vendors to uncoated papers and textiles, and automatic maintenance routines with no operator involvement. Built-in ease of use features like a spectrophotomer, optical drop detector and an optical media sensor ensure high quality prints without operator intervention.
The HP Planet Partners Program and HP Media Take Back Program also provide franchisees the opportunity to recycle all waste generated by the printer, from printheads to empty ink cartridges. Owners can offer customers a 100% green solution by recycling many media offered by HP for free, including large-format banners.
