In July 2010, a sign-ordinance change that affects building signs in Cobb County, GA, went into effect. The previous ordinance called for 2 sq. ft. of signage for every linear ft. of wall space. The new ordinance only allows only ½ sq. ft. of signage for every linear foot of wall space.
Jennifer Graham, the Southeast Sign Assn.’s executive director, advised members that the most effective way to allow Cobb County to know sign companies’ dissatisfaction with the ordinance is to call the commissioners: Chairman Tim Lee, (770) 528-3300, tlee@cobbcounty.org; District 1, Helen Goreham, (770) 528-3313, hgoreham@cobbcounty.org; District 2, Bob Ott, (770) 528-3316, bob.ott@cobbcounty.org; District 3, Thea Powell, (770) 528-3317, thea.powell@cobbcounty.org; and District 4, Woody Thompson, (770)-528-3312, woody.thompson@cobbcounty.org
