Saw Trax (Kennesaw, GA) is adding the Makita 5007N 15A, circular saw to its Varsity, 1000 Series and Signmaker packages. The Makita model replaces the Porter Cable 324 saw. The systems also feature a dust-collection upgrade that includes a custom dust hood, a hose compatible with Shop-Vac products, and a removable brush.
The company is also offering Olfa pivoting-knife inserts for its combination machines. The adjustable-tension blades rip-cut and cross-cut Sintra® composite materials and other hard substrates. Saw Trax offers free modifications of earlier-version inserts; customer only pay freight costs.
