Stackable tiles use laser-phosphor technology
Prysm (San Jose, CA) is unveiling TD1 digital-signage tile, which uses laser-phosphor display (LPD) technology. The 25-in., stackable tiles can be configured in multiple ways with a very small seam and require a low amount of power to operate. The company says they use “less power than a typical household lightbulb,” and can be run from a simple wall plug. The LPD technology uses a patented laser engine and surface-emissive phosphor panel to create images directly from low-power, solid-state lasers, the company says.
