MagicBox Inc. (Corvallis, OR) is announcing the Aavelin SignMate, which offers a compact design that can be mounted behind displays. The 8.7 x 5.3 x 1.7-in. SignMate enables users to add such options as text, graphics, Flash, crawl lines, logo graphics, RSS data feeds and weather forecasts to digital signs. Upgrades to the EZ Stream Software option allow the SignMate to pull data from such EMS software solutions as PeopleCube, Dean Evans and Delphi. Built-in Ethernet support facilitates frequent updates and emergency notifications. The accompanying Aavelin Composer software provides content management, design, and scheduling. SignMate supports 4:3 and16:9 aspect ratios and landscape or portrait orientation, at resolutions up to 1,376 x 768, using a 15-pin VGA or DVI output.
