YESCO’s Chandler, AZ shop built all the Lone Butte casino signage.
The Lone Butte Casino, just south of Phoenix, which rests within the Gila River Indian Community, is the home for many members of both the Pima and Maricopa Indian tribes. The community owns or operates a resort hotel, spa, equestrian center, two golf courses, an arts-and-crafts center, two tribal museums, an NHRA-certified race track, a race-car driving school, and a racing-boat course. It also owns and operates three casinos.

Although the overall project included numerous structures, this monument sign is classic in its neat¬ness and communication. To match tribal colors, YESCO’s shop used its Roland Soljet Pro III XJ inkjet printer to overprint translucent, white vinyl with Roland’s Eco-Sol Max inks; it then cut and applied the printed vinyl to the letters’ white, acrylic faces.
The monument sign base is cultured stone. The sign cabinet is aluminum, as are the channel-letter returns. The letters are internally illuminated with white 6500°K neon.
YESCO’s Kelly Chipman sold the project; Jim Walton was the primary designer. Jim said the sign cabinet is steel framed, to inhibit heat-caused “oil canning.”
