Signs in the subway and on the sides of buildings for a popular ESPN miniseries.
To promote ESPN’s miniseries The Bronx is Burning, LAGraphico (Burbank, CA) took to the streets, not to mention below the streets.
The large-format campaign for the series, set in 1977 while the Yankees were trying for their first World Series win in 15 years (after having been swept by the Cincinnati Reds in 1976), utilized a Durst Rho 350R and an EFI-VUTEk 5330.
The ad campaign also covered the interiors of NYC subway cars. The interiors were printed on styrene foamboard using UV inks and a screenprinting press. These ads, along with the mesh banners, were up for four to six weeks. The massive wallscape was up for the series’ eight-week run.
LAGraphico is dedicated to making environmentally friendly signage. “We execute each project with our clients’ needs and the environment in mind,” LAGraphico’s Keith Dias said. “For this campaign, we utilized VOC-free UV inks with the Durst, and a newly developed, low-VOC headwash that is Air Quality Management District-approved with the Vutek.”
