Evo-Lite LLC (Denver) is offering LumiSheet, a unified, LED-lighting sheet that can be shaped into circles, ovals and stars, among many options. A patented 3-D V-cutting system allows light from high-intensity LEDs to be transmitted uniformly across the acrylic-sheet surface. The sheet can be used in space-limited applications that previously couldn’t accommodate a traditional backlit unit that incorporates a fluorescent lamp. Offered in 4 or 8m-thick sheets, the IP-67 and IP-68-rated material is also UL-listed. The company states that a 600-sq.-mm sheet consumes 18W, with a 12VDC (24V) input voltage. Instead of an electronic ballast, it uses a 12VDC (24V) adaptor. Applications include backlighting for menuboards, shop logos, exhibition-booth signage, shop displays and channel letters.
