Inks are available for use with all newly purchased QS2000 and QS3200 printers.

EFI (Foster City, CA), a leader in customer-focused, digital-printing innovation, announces the availability of QS Series 2 Ink, the next-generation UV ink for the company’s EFI QS2000 and QS3200 superwide-format printers. These inks are available for use with all newly purchased QS2000 and QS3200 printers. Installed printers can be upgraded in a phased conversion roll-out.

Scott Schinlever, general manager and vice president of EFI Ink Business, said, “In a challenging economic environment, such as we face today, customers are looking for new sources of revenue, and these next-generation inks add new capabilities that will enable them to develop those new sources.”

The ink results, the company reports, in finished output with increased durability. Flags and banners will reportedly hang more uniformly and consistently, and rigid output won’t chip or crack during post-production cutting and routing steps, the company says. These enhancements will enable an expanded list of substrates as new materials are tested in the future.
