Durst (Rochester, NY) has unveiled its 10-ft., 6-in.-wide Rhotex 320 industrial-inkjet printer for textiles and soft-signage media. The Rhotex 320 uses environmentally benign, water-based (dye) inks and on-board, hot-air dryer; it delivers POP-quality prints at up to 775 sq. ft./hr. The printer also features efficient workflow software, Quadro® Array printhead technology, a linear, magnetic-drive system and a sophisticated media feed/take-up system.
Designed to produce soft signage, flags, banners and wall coverings, the six-color printer – CMYK + Lc, Lm, Lk (gray), spot colors Rhotex 320 will be available in Q4, 2010.
It features an inline ink dryer that prevents ink smudging and sticking and a capping station to eliminate ink drying; it also features an integrated, ink-absorbing system to prevent inks from penetrating the media. Durst’s workflow software, feed/take-up system and other high-tech capabilities allows 24/7 operation. The Rhotex 320 will print vibrant colors on various soft media, in high volumes and at production speeds, Durst says.
