Charles J. Kelly Jr., president of Clarke Systems (Allentown, PA), will encourage sign professionals to realize the potential of the digital-signage market in his presentation, “Dynamic Digital Signage: The Other Sign Industry,” at the ISA International Sign Expo 2010 by Charles J. Kelly Jr., on Friday, April 9.
Kelly said, “More than outdoor alone, digital-out-of-home (DOOH) signage is taking up interior real estate in commercial, public and corporate space with high impact, increased frequency and huge potential growth. The threat to typical sign companies is that, in most cases, it’s happening in spite of them, not because of them.”
His goal will be to help sign companies identify opportunities in a quickly expanding market that’s currently controlled by the audiovisual, POS and IT segments. The DOOH market is reportedly reaching $1 billion in sales with more than a million screen deployments this year.
Clarke Systems (formerly Spandex USA) is a distributor of interior and exterior architectural-sign systems, ADA signage and dynamic digital signage software. Formerly the VP of sales and marketing for Spandex PLC, Kelly is a 23-year veteran of the sign industry. He has worked with the sign trade nationwide on project planning, design and sales, and has spoken at numerous industry events.
