Caldera’s (Eckbolsheim, Strasbourg, France) CostView software helps predict costs on planned jobs. When ink and media costs are input, the software will calculate the cost of a planned printing job, and compare pricing structures to compute expected profit, the company reports. The program, which can be accessed online, is designed to allow production managers to monitor ink and media costs. Recently added features include carbon-footprint monitoring, which tracks CO2 emissions during production.
