Company will wrap 10 Ford Escapes for collision-repair shop

The U.S. Dept. of Transportation’s 1980s public-service, car-safety campaign, which featured crash-test dummies and the slogan, “You Can Learn A Lot from a Dummy,” proved effective. This Phoenix-area, collision-repair center decided to spin that concept into a vehicle-wrap campaign, and hired AZ Pro Group (Avondale, AZ) to complete the job for the customer’s 10 Ford Escapes.
Jason Prenovost, the shop’s president, said, “The idea was to create a wrap that gave the car an appearance of a stripped-down frame, the way a car would look in a body shop. The frames look like test vehicles where crash-test dummies are used, so they added some fun to the design.”
AZ Pro Group produced the wrap on its Roland SolJet Pro III XJ-740 printer with eco-solvent inks with 3M Controltac IJ180c-10 with Comply v3 air-release media. To depict the dummy’s faces on the Escape’s windows, the shop used Clear Focus Imaging’s JetVue™ perforated, see-through media. 3M’s 8518 glossy topcoat protects the car’s body.

The world is swiftly moving toward highly efficient cars and as gas prices boil the need for fuel efficient cars is only going to increase. I for one make use of fuel cards so as to offset the high price of gas.
Almost all of these old cars are gas guzzlers, these cars however mighty and iconic they are they have to be phased out from running on the streets.
